Winning their second SCORE Pro UTV Overall and FI class Championship this season, Matt Burroughs and the Monster Energy No. 2948 Can-Am were one of the most consistent teams this year, earning enough season points for the 2022 championship. In one of the largest gatherings of Pro UTVs in the San Felipe Desert, these competitors in five different classes were ready for the BFGoodrich Tires 34th SCORE San Felipe 250 Presented by Ford. A total of 36 UTV teams descended into San Felipe to compete at the 52nd BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts. The largest concentration of teams and racers was within the Pro UTV FI, class, and as such, the competition was as tough as the course itself. 2019 SCORE Baja 500 class winner Craig Scanlon, 2019 SCORE Baja 1000 class winner Justin Lambert, 2019 SCORE Baja 400 class winner Wes Miller, and 2019 SCORE Pro UTV FI Class Champion Wayne Matlock were some of the racers wanting to add this 2020 race to their list of accomplishments, but winning it would not be as easy as those other times. At this year’s 52nd BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts, Matthew Burroughs in the Monster Energy Can-Am X3 had everything go well for him to pull off a well-deserved class win.
