While some of the veterans in SCORE UTV racing have moved into the Open class, the course did not favor their ability for speed. At the King Shocks 35th SCORE San Felipe 250, Wayne Matlock in his No. 1871 Polaris RZR Pro R finished the race with a time of 6:08:50, winning the SCORE Pro UTV Overall and Pro UTV Open class. The extremely fast finish time, however, was better than half of the Class 10 competitors and faster than all but one of the Class 7 competitors in this race. Read More
Wayne Matlock's shockingly fast six-hour and eight-minute finish in Pro UTV Open, led the way for other racers to also finish faster than before. Mike Cafro in the No, 1876 Polaris RZR Turbo S, is one of several racers who moved into the Open class this season, after receiving the 2021 Pro UTV Stock Championship. The newest SCORE UTV class, Pro UTV Open had Justin Elenburg in the No. 1870 Can-Am X3 dominate the class by winning every race this season. He continued to dominate at the 54th SCORE Baja 1000, putting an amazing effort with co-drivers Mike York, and Ernesto Taylor, to finish first again in class. Read More
In one of the largest gatherings of Pro UTVs in the San Felipe Desert, these competitors in five different classes were ready for the BFGoodrich Tires 34th SCORE San Felipe 250 Presented by Ford. At the start of the race, the Pro UTV FI class had some of SCORE’s elite UTV racers and former class champions wanting to take home their first win of the season. Read More
A total of 36 UTV teams descended into San Felipe to compete at the 52nd BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts. The largest concentration of teams and racers was within the Pro UTV FI, class, and as such, the competition was as tough as the course itself. 2019 SCORE Baja 500 class winner Craig Scanlon, 2019 SCORE Baja 1000 class winner Justin Lambert, 2019 SCORE Baja 400 class winner Wes Miller, and 2019 SCORE Pro UTV FI Class Champion Wayne Matlock were some of the racers wanting to add this 2020 race to their list of accomplishments, but winning it would not be as easy as those other times.
