Mark McNeil proved his prowess in the brutal Baja desert with a commanding victory at the 2018 SCORE Baja 500, capturing the Class 5 Unlimited championship alongside co-driver Perry McNeil. Racing the number 501 Volkswagen Baja Bug, the duo dominated the challenging Ensenada course, finishing with a time of 16:24:06 and maintaining an impressive 33.05 mph average speed through the notorious silt and dust conditions that claimed many competitors.

Based in Tijuana, BC, McNeil demonstrated exceptional skill navigating the treacherous Baja peninsula terrain that tested even the most experienced desert racers.
