The record-setting field of 31 SCORE Trophy Trucks roared into the San Felipe desert at full-throttle to take on the 280.2-mile course. After qualifying, Bryce Menzies, Andy McMillin, Luke McMillin, Gus Vildosola and Alan Ampudia were the first to start the race for the field. The McMillin cousins continued a relentless pace chasing Menzies in the #7 AWD Red Bull truck, each trying to avoid any potentially time soaking mistake that would slow them down and cost them the win. took the Overall win with a time of eight hours, 29.17 seconds. It was
McMillin’s first career SCORE Trophy Truck victory. McMillin also earned

Among the field of SCORE Trophy Truck racers, there was no doubt in their minds that delaying the race for 24-hours was a wise choice. The changes it caused on the course, however, was something they couldn’t have anticipated and it had a significant outcome for many of the top teams. Starting the field was Ryan Arciero who teamed up with Dan McMillin in the number 32 Herbst/ Smith Levi’s truck. They were first on a course where the conditions were much different than what they had previously pre-run weeks before. “The weather this year put the race on a completely different level,†said Arciero. “Some of that water was so deep and the mud was so bad.
