ROUGHED UP | October 2022 Issue

The rough, tight, and technical course of the 3rd SCORE Baja 400 Presented by VP Racing fuels was especially hard on the Class 1 buggies. Six of the best teams competed and all had to drive slower than their usual pace to complete the course, but not without additional vehicle problems along the way. Since the Class 1 competitors decided among themselves not to participate in qualifying, they agreed the starting order for their class would be in the order in which they entered the race. This put 2021 Class Champion Cody Parkhouse in the No. 100 Jimco buggy off the starting line first, followed by the No. 121 Jefferies Buggy of Damen Jefferies, and the No 138. Jimco Buggy of Kyle Quinn. Brad Wilson in the No. 153 Jimco Buggy would start fourth, followed by Brendan Gaughan in the No. 162 HMS Buggy and Cody Reid in the No. 168 Alumi Craft Buggy. Read More

WILLERT TOOK THE CLASS 10 VICTORY AT THE SCORE BAJA 500 | July 2021 Issue

All 22 of the Class 10 racers who competed at the SCORE Baja 500 are some of the best drivers of whom many are race winners and former class champions. Among them was Chase Warren in the No. 1088 buggy, who won at the SCORE San Felipe 250 and started first, followed by Hiram Duran in the No. 1016 buggy, who started in second place. With the silt areas and bottlenecks on the course, only the best and luckiest racers made it to the finish. Unfortunately, Warren wasnâ€™t one of the lucky ones and sat for two hours waiting at a bottleneck for TT Spec and Class 1 cars to get through. VW-Powered Classes Feel the Brunt of Baja | December 2019 Issue

If the SCORE Trophy Trucks and Class 1 vehicles had a hard time in the mud, the course was even more brutal for the VW-powered classes. Nevertheless, the most determined of the field managed to push through and finish the race.
